Vormers Bos in Wijchen, late autumn, taken during the Golden Hour. Gorgeous sky colour during sunset gives a nice contrast to the dark silhouettes of the bare trees. Seen from below, this makes an impression. The trees are fragile, slender, yet imposing. You look up and see the sky between the dark branches. It is always a pleasure to walk here: each time the light is different, each time you hear new forest sounds, and sometimes it is quiet as a mouse. Very inspiring. You can find peace. You can feel the silence. I was overwhelmed by the colours and the silence and wanted to capture this. Only by lying on the ground did I manage to capture this. I tried to capture the silence, the serenity of the moment, the imposing light and the fragile with this photograph. Something I keep looking at over and over again myself. Both framed and printed on unframed canvas, this is a stunning photo that will look great in many spaces.
