The seeds of the pelargonium (the plant that most people call "geranium") are fascinating works of art; behind the seed is a kind of spiral with long silky threads that work like a small helicopter. As soon as the construction is detached from the plant, the wind takes it along to drop it further away.
The strange colours in the picture are due to choosing the 'wrong' white balance.
