Floral photography is always fun to do. Flowers are always an inspiration to take beautiful photos of. There are so many different flowers, different in shape and different in colour. Each flower is different in size and has a different pattern on the petal.
Photographing a flower as it naturally is, of course, fun to do. But what I particularly enjoy is turning flowers into artistic works of art.
I often use multiple exposure for this purpose: merging several photos into one new one. This is a creative way of taking photos and it challenges me every time to make a picture just a little bit different from the rest.
Sometimes I mix a flower with a certain structure or pattern. A structure or pattern that I come across in everyday life and which is an extra nice addition to the flower I photographed. In this photo, I combined the rough structure of a stone wall with the flower.
This chrysanthemum flower (Chrysanthemum) is a particularly beautiful flower. It is wonderful to see how all the petals are unfolded from the centre of the flower: a particularly beautiful pattern of petals is created as a result.
The flower up close and partially visible, the rough structure of the stone that can also be seen through the flower and the warm colours make for an atmospheric photo. A photo that brings warmth and homeliness to your wall at home!
