The Camargue is a nature reserve in southern France that is home, among other things, to a colony of wild flamingo's. There are also wild horses, the well-known white horses, and bulls running wild. This 'wildness'of the horses and bulls can be questioned. The horses and bulls I have seen were all neatly behind barbed wire.... Maybe half wild. This photo of the flamingo was taken during a trip through Europe and a stopover in Saintes-Marie-de-la-Mére in October 2023. Despite the high level of commercialisation, this area is worth visiting, especially in the early or late season.
