About ‘Fishing door in Henningsvær’ by Marèl Katier

This photo shows the entrance to an old fishing building in Henningsvær, one of the most famous fishing villages in Norway's Lofoten Islands. The red-painted wooden building with white window frames and weathered wooden door exudes the atmosphere of tradition and history. A sign above the door reads Fiskerioppsyn, referring to the age-old role of fishing in this area. The wear marks on the wood and the weathered windows show that this building has been intensively used for many years, making it part of the village's daily life.

In the foreground, wild plants and herbs grow among the stones, adding a raw and natural touch to the composition.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
