A forgotten rusty boat on the dike, for some perhaps a familiar spot along the dike of Friesland at the level of the afsluitdijk. This boat radiates on all sides an origin from the time when the IJsselmeer was still Zuiderzee. The old character together with the robustness of the modern sea dike protecting the hinterland form a kind of alienating contrast of old and new. They are connected by the sky and the water that changes every day but has always been there. An atmospheric panorama from the far north near the Wadden Sea.
