A lone birch tree standing proudly in a moorland landscape losing its leaves as autumn falls. The cold nights drive fog across the fields of spent heather, cloaking nature in thick patches of mystique and cold drops of water. Autumn makes its mark on the weather as the sun manages to rise above the horizon in the early morning.
The first rays of the sun try to burn away the haze only to turn into beautiful sunbeams but the mist still cloaks the early morning in mystery. The outline of a solitary tree looms out of the shadows and its branches darkly contrast as the sun shines on it from behind. This tree seems to float on the mist as its trunk disappears in the patches of fog drifting across the ground. The water droplets of these low clouds enhance the colour of the morning sun in a pastel orange.
