This photo was taken in Toronto, Ontario (Canada), a city I love to visit. Mainly because of the relaxed atmosphere, but also because of the amazing architecture. Especially in the financial district you can find interesting buildings that never fail to impress me. Packed with my things, I walked into the city centre. I often tell people: look back or up and be surprised as you walk through the city. Especially in downtown Toronto, where the skyscrapers are so close together, like here in this photo. I found myself on a lawn and looked up. I was surrounded on all sides by the skyscrapers, which together formed a beautiful symmetrical whole that I had to photograph. In this case, with a wide angle lens (12mm) and a full frame camera, so that I could get as much of the image in my frame as possible. But just pressing the button doesn't get me there, I need to make some changes at home. In fact, I do 99% of my photo editing at home, where I have access to a big screen, a fast desktop and a Wacom drawing tablet, so I can quietly edit my photos to make them suitable for hanging on the wall. By making this shot a little darker, adding more contrast and taking out the colour, this photo really came alive. Especially by making the sky black and adding some white highlights.
