This is the first and freshly picked field bouquet from the Herenboeren land Het Tulse Veld. The flowers were picked and photographed in evening light for the painting. In the work, you can see velvetwort, wild clover, wild chamomile and various field grasses. Think the delicious scents of these flowers with it.
The bouquet bloomed in a field where gentleman farmers are working on regenerative agriculture. By preserving and encouraging biodiversity, we are working towards rich soil. When picking the bouquet, consideration was given to leaving enough flowers.
This bouquet is the end result of a series of abstract works that deal with returning to the child. As a child, I dreamed of having my own flower shop with flowers from the field. With a friend, we picked roadside bouquets and sold them at the doors.
