This work was painted with watercolor on special old watercolor paper that I found in my grandmother's attic after she passed away. The weathered paper carries with it a piece of family history, making the artwork not only evocative but also tangibly connected to memory and time. The painting was then edited with Adobe Fresco, ensuring good quality even in a large size.
The portrait shows the profile of a woman, her head tilted back slightly, as if she is indulging in silence or an inner moment of reflection. Her soft facial features contrast with the deep, flowing colours of red, brown and indigo that spread around her. The watercolour technique creates a play of transparent layers, organic outflows and unexpected splashes that give the image a vibrant energy.
The combination of serene vulnerability and expressive power gives this work a poetic feel. It invites you to contemplate the balance between remembering and letting go, between stillness and movement. This makes it more than a portrait: it is an atmospheric image that adds warmth, depth and character to any interior.
