This particular watercolour painting has come a long way before it was completed. The work started years ago as a sketch, then got forgotten, and was only recently picked up again and completed. With no preconceived idea, a female portrait gradually emerged that seems to float under water, enveloped in soft blue, turquoise and purple tones.The eyes are closed, as if the woman is completely in silence and introspection. The skin is covered in patterns reminiscent of bubbles and shadows of the sea, while subtle colour accents in orange and pink add a touch of light and energy.
