About ‘Fantasy 1969’ by JAN HILLOV

An architectural black-and-white fantasy from 1969, originally drawn for a student magazine and now transformed by Artificial Intelligence into a monumental, surreal scene. A tower rises from a circular base, surrounded by floating spheres and ribbon-like structures that wind their way around the structure like thoughts.

The design came about by chance: two failed drawings lay on top of one another and unexpectedly formed a new, exciting image. That spontaneous discovery became the magazine’s cover, a symbol of how chance and imagination can come together. Today, that idea is being given a new lease of life. The original lines have been retained, but AI has transformed them into a serene, almost dreamlike architecture in which light, shadow and form follow their own logic. The tower seems to be both a lighthouse and a memory: a beacon in a world that does not exist, but could well exist. The spheres behind it exude tranquillity and mystery, as if they were carrying the thoughts once entrusted to paper.

In this way, Fantasy 1969 unites the past and the future – a visual echo of a young artist who is now, using digital tools, once again exploring the boundaries of his imagination.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
