About the artwork

This colourful abstract artwork shows a wild interplay of yellow, red, green and black that sprays across the canvas like a firework of colours. The colours collide in irregular layers, as if releasing an unbridled energy, while delicate splashes of white break through the surface like flashes of light. A small, barely perceptible detail catches the eye on closer inspection: a tiny purple spot in the top corner that looks like a hidden spark and surprises the viewer. The texture is rough and multi-layered, as if the colours are fighting with each other and uniting.

The inspiration came after a visit to a street festival in Mumbai, where I was fascinated by the vibrant colours and the chaos of the crowds. A film I saw about the diversity of cultures reinforced my desire to capture this energy. I wanted to create a warm, passionate atmosphere that was like a feast for the senses - a feeling of joy and freedom.

For me, "Explosion Rush" symbolises the beauty of chaos and the power of diversity, an expression of life and movement. It was created in a phase of enthusiasm when I was experiencing the world with open senses. I used a digital technique reminiscent of acrylic casting, with layers of colour and splashes to emphasise the dynamism, guided by a sense of euphoria. In an interior setting, this artwork brings a vibrant, bold accent and fits perfectly with people who love abstract art, cultural diversity or colourful designs. It evokes the energy of a colourful festival.
