Exmoor ponies are mainly used for grazing nature reserves in the Netherlands. This primal species of ponies and horses is very strong and thanks to their thick fur very resistant to all kinds of weather conditions. The wild manes are a bit short, but still give them that wild character. The ponies often live in small groups and are more shy in nature than other ponies and horses. Originally the Exmoor ponies come from the South West of England where they still roam in wild form through the Exmoor National Park.
