About "Erfurt Krämerbrücke at Christmas black and white"

About the artwork

The picture shows Erfurt's Krämerbrücke during the Advent season - taken in black and white to emphasise the graphic effect of light, structure and perspective. The cobbled street is deserted, lined with historic half-timbered houses whose windows and façades are decorated with discreet Christmas lights. Strings of lights stretch across the street, creating the effect of a luminous vault and lending depth to the picture.

The Krämerbrücke is one of the oldest and most famous buildings in Erfurt. As a completely built-up bridge with continuous use as a residential and commercial space, it is unique in Europe. Its history dates back to the 14th century and makes it a central symbol of the city.

My inspiration was to capture the special tranquillity of the old town in the run-up to Christmas - a moment without the hustle and bustle, but full of atmosphere. The decision to use black and white was deliberate, in order to draw attention to the lighting, lines and architectural details.

The picture conveys a quiet, almost timeless mood. It invites you to pause and feel the connection between history, season and space.

In an interior, this work acts as a calm, stylish accent. It brings depth, structure and a touch of local identity to both modern and classic spaces.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
