About "Erfurt Cathedral after Christmas"

About the artwork

The picture shows Erfurt Cathedral illuminated at night, taken after Christmas. The Gothic architecture of the cathedral with its striking towers and intricate details is at the centre of the composition. To the right, a large Christmas tree, decorated with white lights, shines - a remnant of the festive season. In the foreground, trails of light from passing vehicles drift across the road, an effect of long exposure that suggests movement and life. The sky is deep blue, indicating the late hour.

The cathedral square is one of the most important historical sites in Erfurt. The cathedral itself looks back on over 1000 years of history and has a significant influence on the cityscape. Even after the holidays, the square remains a place of encounter and reflection.

My inspiration was to capture the calm after the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season - a moment in which the festive atmosphere is still palpable, but is already fading into everyday life. The lighting and composition are intended to make this transitional phase visually tangible.

The picture conveys a quiet, almost contemplative atmosphere. In an interior, it acts as a calm, structured eye-catcher - ideal for rooms that want to combine depth, history and a seasonal mood.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
