Originally built in the sixteenth century and carefully restored, the Palazzo della Corgna in Citta della Pieve was built to house nobility.
The architect was from Perugia (the capital of Umbria) and was called Galeazzo Alessi. This view shows the entrance, a wooden doorway in a stone wall, actually a door within a door. Through the door we can see the interior courtyard with an old well and another door behind that.
