About ‘Egmond's rhythm, lighthouse and beach houses’ by Mike Bing

On a beautiful spring day in April with a bright blue sky, it is still far too cold for the regular tenants of the beach huts, which still look closed and deserted with the stately J.C.J. van Speijk lighthouse standing guard, so to speak, in the background until summer arrives again. It is this uniformity of beach huts that fascinates in particular. What's behind door number four? As if it were a TV quiz. When soon the warm days return, the chaos returns with the doors open and the contents of the cottages and their occupants spread out on the beach in front of them. A fascinating microcosm of family happiness. The cottages often stay in the family for generations.
