Kestrels have remarkable eyesight. Their large, round eyes are adapted for high-resolution and colour vision. They can perceive ultraviolet light, which allows them to see prey that are not visible to humans.
Moreover, they have the ability to turn their heads up to 270 degrees, giving them a wide field of vision without having to move their bodies.
This extraordinary vision enables kestrels to locate prey on the ground from a great height and then strike with amazing precision. It makes them masterful hunters in the sky.
I find it impressive to be face-to-face with such'a magnificent bird of prey, my favourite species of bird.
Let us learn from the kestrel and use their sight to have an eye for each other.
