Subject: Earth Girl is a young woman taking time to find herself again. Self-love. Rest.
Inspiration: In our daily lives, we ask a lot of ourselves. When you don't know yourself well enough you soon go beyond your own limits. Physically and mentally.
Intuitively, I often felt that I needed to go outside when I had gone over my own limits again. I needed to ground myself. Come back to myself and my feelings. And then I could grow and flourish again.
Materials: Black ink and watercolour paint. The original was made on 250 g/m2 acid-free paper and is A4 size.
Technique: I like organic shapes and simple use of colour. I only let the watercolour paint flow inside the shape. It is surrounded by a white line and the black ink.
This work fits very well in a quiet space where it gives one a reminder to step back, take a rest and give self love.
