The flooded meadow slowly returns to the Achterhoek landscape in winter. A layer of water covers the grass and reflects the bare tree. The mist dampens the light and softens the edges of the view - as if the world stands still for a moment. The farmhouse seems like an island in its surroundings. It is an image that breathes tranquillity, but also strength: nature is taking back its space. This kind of temporary flooding is not only good for the landscape and water resources, but also brings a special beauty. A reminder of how water, even in its quietest form, can shape the landscape. Good for the water, good for the image - and above all good for those who take the time to look.
