About 3 km above Bergen aan Zee (N-H) lies 'de kerf', a row of dunes cut through in the past, giving the sea the opportunity to reach the hinterland at spring tide and during a westerly storm. On the beach there are several rows of poles placed as a sand trap.
At sunset this gives a beautiful minimalist image of a typical Dutch beach landscape.
