Dutch Landscape is a Watercolour with a minimalist composition in which I was inspired by the landscapes of the Waterland region near Volendam, Purmerend and Broek in Waterland. The image consists for the most part of a clear blue sky with one cloud, with a strip of grassland of a polder landscape in a fresh green colour underneath. The watercolour is painted on a very fibrous and rough handmade watercolour paper. The fibres of the paper are therefore clearly visible in this painting and gives the work a nice texture. This painting exudes tranquillity and is very suitable for interiors and rooms where one can relax and unwind.
