This is one of the old warehouses still standing near the Koningin Wilhelminahaven in Vlaardingen. They date back to about 1900. When you stand in front of the old warehouse and look up, you can see the doors of the storage room with the beam in between, to which the pulley used to be attached to hoist things that needed to be stored upstairs. The paint on the walls is blistered and the hinges rusted. The ravages of time can be seen on the warehouse. A piece of history that I'm sure has great stories to tell. Probably this warehouse will disappear in the course of time. Making way for new construction. This photo is a nice reminder of old times.
