Less is more, as the saying goes.
If you look at the picture, you have to agree.
Individual dewdrops cling to a leaf of grass, while the background is only vaguely recognisable.
The focus is solely on the beads of water. You can even recognise a vague reflection in it.
The picture was taken early one spring morning. As I often do, I was out in the garden with my camera and macro lens looking for a subject.
I paused and simply looked around me at the ground. There I found this beautiful sight.
I lay down in the damp grass to find the perfect angle and distance.
Focussing on the water droplets, I pressed the shutter release.
As a result, the background looks blurred and like a watercolour painting.
The picture comes to life with the fresh green in different colour tones.
It is one of my favourite pictures.
