About "Deventer"

About the artwork

Deventer, beautiful city on the river IJssel. For ages, this city had been on my list to be photographed. Since I now live not far from it and had a few days off, I took the car to this Hanseatic city.

From the ferry on the other side you have a beautiful view of Deventer with, of course, the striking tower of the Lebuinus church rising nicely above it.

As it was almost windless, the city was beautifully reflected in the water, ideal conditions to take some good photos.

By now, the sun had set and the lights came on. The blue hour had begun, a great time to start a series of photos. Meanwhile, the ferry, named "Stad Deventer", had docked to take people back across. After a few shots, I was done here and was able to head back home to see the evening's results.

As always, I put a lot of effort into editing the photo at home to make it suitable for printing on Canvas, Plexiglas, Art Frame or other suitable material for your wall.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
