About ‘Dettifoss waterfall, Iceland’ by Jan Fritz
The Dettifoss is fed by the powerful glacial river Jokulsa a Fjollum flowing from Europe's largest glacier, Vatnajokull. The thundering waterfall has an average water flow of 193 cubic metres per second. It is 100 metres wide and plunges 45 metres down into the gorge of Jokulsargljufur.
