The artwork shows an architectural detail of the façade of the Paul Löbe House in Berlin. The composition thrives on the interplay between transparency and structure, between the curved left-hand side of the building and the straight-lined right-hand side. This juxtaposition lends the image a subtle tension.
The inspiration for this work arose from the desire to show political architecture not only as a functional vehicle, but also as a design statement. The Paul Löbe House stands for openness and democratic processes - values that are reflected in its transparent, modern construction. I was particularly interested in how these principles are reflected in the façade.
With the picture, I want to create a factual, focussed atmosphere. It is about clarity, order and the quiet presence of architecture in public space. The black and white aesthetic supports this effect by reducing the motif to form and structure.
In interior design, this work acts as a calm but striking accent. It is particularly suitable for modern, minimalist spaces and brings architectural depth to living or working areas - without forcing itself into the foreground.
