Detached – A minimalist abstract artwork in shades of violet and burgundy

by Anita Gewald

This artwork is part of an exclusive three-part series of paintings for modern interiors. Each piece stands on its own, yet when combined with the other paintings, they create a unique visual harmony.

“Losgelöst” – A high-quality art print based on the original acrylic painting.
This square, abstract artwork captivates with its dynamic composition of bold, vertical brushstrokes in deep violet and burgundy, which stand in striking contrast to a soft, horizontal band of pastel pink. The background is harmoniously divided into a light off-white in the upper section and a soothing, rectangular area of mint green in the lower half. The visible textures of the original paint application on canvas lend the print a tangible depth and vibrant texture.
With this piece, I deliberately sought to create a counterpoint to our often sensory-overloaded world – an image specifically designed for modern, minimalist spaces. The composition is deliberately uncluttered, leaving the viewer space to breathe and take a deep breath.
The deep shades of violet and burgundy radiate a calming sense of stability and depth. They invite the viewer to anchor their gaze and be present in the moment.
The soft mint green and the pastel pink band bring a fresh, liberating touch to the image. They symbolise the feeling of ‘letting go’ and inner balance.
Bring a touch of clarity and serenity into your own home with this expressive yet minimalist artwork. Ideal for living rooms, bedrooms or offices where you wish to create an atmosphere of calm and concentration. The artwork bears the artist’s discreet signature in the bottom right-hand corner.
