A wild watercolour drawing of a woman's face disappearing into a dark cloud. The cloud is dark grey and the woman's face has little colour except for some soft pink. The space behind the woman is also this pink hue. From the clouds come wisps of drips that could be tears on the woman's face. With this image, I represent what it feels like to have dark thoughts, they cloud your view, and you can only look at things bleakly. For me, this is what depression feels like, transformed into images. Yet it is also a hopeful image, because the woman has not completely disappeared into the cloud. The style is expressive with wild drops dripped uncontrollably onto the paper. A hairdryer has also been used to smooth out the drops, while the visible part of the face has just been drawn with precision to emphasise the contrast.
