A fierce, short thunderstorm approached one summer on the beach of Cadzand aan Zee. Later I saw the tapestry with Apollo and Daphne in Slot Zeist. The setting in the approaching thunderstorm proved ideal for bringing this metoo story into the 21st century.
Greek mythology forms a blueprint for our Western society. Many of the discussion issues have their representatives in the gods' world of the Greeks. So does the #metoo movement.
Daphne was a more than beautiful water nymph who had many rejected worshippers. This included the God Apollo, who pursued her so annoyingly that Daphne turned herself into a laurel tree in order to escape him.
