Hundreds of oystercatchers migrated through the Dutch skies in perfect synchronisation. Their black and white wings stood out sharply against the soft hues of the morning sky. The sky itself seemed to come alive, filled with a rhythmic dance of feathers and movement.
From afar, they were mere specks in the sky, but the closer you looked, the more impressive their organisation and harmony became. Each bird seemed to know exactly where the other would be, their movements fluid and almost magical.
It was a picture of pure force of nature: so many birds, one unified rhythm, an impressive ballet that filled the emptiness of the sky. The photograph of this moment captures not only their flight, but also the thrill of admiration and respect it evoked.
