About the artwork

Fallow deer in the Amsterdam water supply dunes
Fallow deer can be recognised by their light to dark brown fur with white patches. A tail, white with a black stripe from the back, often swings visibly back and forth.
The male animal is called stag. He is the proudest bearer of fine antlers. With a shoulder height of about 110 cm and weighing up to 100 kg, the deer is hard to overlook. The male reaches his peak weight just before the rutting season in October. After the rut, deer live in a male pack. Young deer stay together from their first to fifth year of life.
The female is called doe. The doe weighs up to 50 kg and has a shoulder height of about 75 cm. Hinds do not wear antlers. From early autumn, hinds look for a suitable mate. After conception, they live in a female pack and separate from it when they are due to farrow.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
