A pile of cut tree trunks together. Trees are the lungs of the earth, but man goes loose on felling trees, which are so important to us and the ecosystem. How many animals and plants do depend on trees, we don't seem to want to realize. The Gaia hypothesis, therefore, is that the biosphere acts on the environment, creating a self-regulating system for favourable conditions for life on Earth. Treecutting disrupts the system and threatens life on Earth. That's why we're cutting it out.
