Cubist jazz musicians: saxophone, trumpet and piano

by TheXclusive Art

This Cubist painting of jazz musicians – saxophone, trumpet and piano – brings the energy of an intimate jazz session to life in a layered Cubist composition, in which three musicians, set against angular planes of navy blue, burgundy, gold and cream, come together to form a swinging and timeless scene where you can almost hear the music. This remarkable artwork depicts the saxophonist with his golden instrument, the trumpeter and the pianist behind the black-and-white keys, with the sharp triangles and layered paint capturing the rhythm and improvisation in an artistic and contemporary manner. The deep blue and red tones, interspersed with warm gold and soft cream, lend the whole a rich and atmospheric quality that subtly yet powerfully reflects the passion and freedom of jazz.

The overlapping figures are arranged in such a way that the musicians appear to form a single whole, just as in a well-coordinated ensemble, whilst the diagonal lines and tilted planes lend the image a lively sense of movement.

Every brushstroke seems to swing: this work brings the warmth of a late evening in a jazz café to your wall, ideal above a sofa, in a dining room or in a cosy lounge with wooden and gold accents.

Musicians, jazz fans and lovers of expressive, geometric art will find this trio a feast for the eyes, with a composition that seems to reveal a new melody with every glance.
