This house was occupied by commander Albert Gemmeker from October 1942 to April 1945. The house is made entirely of wood. To preserve the house for the future, a greenhouse was built around it.
Camp Westerbork was a transit camp. From here, numerous trains left for extermination camps, including Auschwitz.
