About ‘UNESCO World heritage Ir. D.F. Woudagemaal’ by MdeJong Fotografie

Because of the Ir. D.F. Woudagemaal in Lemmer, we keep our feet dry in Friesland. This year (2024), the pumping station has already been in action once and this is likely to happen again.

But even when the pumping station is not under steam, it is a beautiful historical structure. Not for nothing is it a UNESCO world heritage site!

During a beautiful, but very cold, Sunday morning, I decided to drive to Lemmer to photograph the Woudagemaal. This picture is the result!
