About the artwork
This artwork is a fusion of various aspects and techniques that inspire and appeal to me.
The artwork is colourful: a cheerful ensemble of bright colours that you also see all over a rainbow. I find a rainbow particularly beautiful to see and I also like to incorporate these rainbow colours in my photographs and paintings.
Furthermore, the artwork is imaginative: you wonder what you are looking at. What do I recognise in this picture? As far as I am concerned, you can let your imagination run wild and think for yourself what this colourful whole reminds you of. Maybe you see an eye. Or a planet (or shining sun) with stars around it. Go on a voyage of discovery through this array of colours and enjoy this cheerful work of art!
The techniques used in the creation of this photo are my favourites: mixing several photos together to create an artistic whole which can also be quite abstract. And finally, I also like to use materials that might not be so photogenic. The circle of glass in the middle is an ordinary marble, but if you take a close look at it, you can see that it is also quite a work of art in itself. The unusual texture in the background is a photo of a piece of waste material with a nice pattern.
So all in all, a mix that results in unusual and colourful art. A photo to make you happy!
