The Collegiate Church of St. Servatii is the centerpiece of the Unesco World Heritage city of Quedlinburg.
The former collegiate church of St. Servatius in Quedlinburg - also known as St. Servatii or Quedlinburg Cathedral - is a monument of High Romanesque architecture dedicated to Saints Dionysius and Servatius. The flat-roofed basilica with three naves was built between 1070 and 1129 and was the church of the Quedlinburg convent. Since 1994, the church, together with Quedlinburg's Old Town and the castle, has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a protected cultural asset under the Hague Convention.
The collegiate church of St. Servatii is one of the most important church buildings on the Romanesque Road. Its spires, visible from afar on the steep sandstone cliff high above the roofs of the city, recall a time when the Quitlinga Castle was the family, cultural and political center of the imperial house of the Ottonians.
