About ‘Close-up of a thorny cactus in black and white’ by Troy Wegman

A black and white nature wall art piece centred on a cactus, its stem running diagonally through the frame. Short, sharp spines dot the stem, and the other stems behind it dissolve into soft grey shapes that keep the focus on the plant.

The grey tones give the plant a sculptural feel, and the contrast shows the texture of its skin clearly. The mood is calm and slightly moody, suited to anyone who loves plants and simple, graphic art.

This wall art works well in a living room, above a sofa or sideboard, and also in a bedroom or hallway. The vertical format suits narrow spaces. With no colour, it fits black and white interiors, industrial styles or a collection of botanical prints.

Original created by Troy Wegman.
