About the artwork
"Close-up morning star black and white with brown / sepia " is a macro photograph of a small part of a morning star, which was photographed with backlighting among other things. Small water droplets hang from the morning star.
Because the depth of field is small (a few millimeters from the middle fluff with drops), depth is created in the picture. This creates abstract blurred lines and circles of the fluff and droplets in the background. Which gives a nice depth of field.
This work consists mainly of black, white, gray and brown tones (taupe, beige) and cream white. In some places a more warm yellowish - wood color comes through (for example in some of the drops near the fluff where the focus is) It seems that these drops reflect a warm brown color from the fluff itself (or from another object nearby).
