After a lovely walk in the north of Isle of Skye, we ran into this classic phone box. No longer in function, but beautifully situated beside the road with the hills and mountains of Quaraing in the background. To me, this felt like such's ultimate image of Scotland, where the landscape, the object and the circumstances come together well. The image gave me a warm feeling and made me long for that exact moment - returning to the car after a long walk after which we would drive another fantastic stretch across the island before reaching our cottage. It also instantly fuels my wanderlust and need for a road trip.
Hopefully this will also make you long for the beautiful, rugged and, in some cases, desolate Scotland.
