City in Decay Modern Abstract is an abstract painting made with oil paint and texture on panel.
First an underlay was made with sawdust mixed through it. Then many layers were created by applying thin layers of oil paint each time.
The painting depicts society splitting up. Divisions among the population make the city decay.
Decay doesn't have to be visible. You can feel it. Morose crowds are being led astray by politicians. Be careful that you too do not get carried away in the channel of discontent. Don't let the negativity affect you.
The unification of the city seems to be flowing further away from us.
