During a long walk through Kampina nature reserve, I came across a large herd of cattle. Of course, I could not pass up this photo opportunity, so I snuck closer and closer with my camera at the ready. Although the animals kept a close eye on me, they did not seem to care much about my presence. There I was, crouching in the long grass, taking pictures of a pair of cattle to my right. Until the animal in the photo had had enough, and from the corner of my eye suddenly took several firm steps in my direction. I shot up and backwards, narrowly missing tripping, and luckily had the presence of mind to shoot some nice pictures!
Passion for photography, where does something like that come from? The beauty is that every photographer will have their own answer. For me it flows out of being able to freeze a moment, step out of the day-to-day rush, and take my time for what I am.. Read more…
