This is my favorite spot in New Zealand, which was my homeland for a period of 3 years. Cape Palliser Lighthouse, it is located at the southernmost tip of the North Island. To get to the lighthouse, you have to climb a long, wooden staircase. A hell of a job, but once you get to the top, the view is all worth it!
And down by the sea you can look for large paua shells, or marvel at the seals that are actually always sunbathing there.
