Butterfly in the rainbow spectrum - symbol of transformation, light and inner strength

by AidasignArt

In this square work, the figure of a butterfly emerges in a monumental close-up and fills the picture space with a radiant presence. Its wings unite the entire spectrum of the rainbow, which unfolds in lively transitions from one tone to the next. The colours appear powerful and at the same time harmoniously fused together, as if they had been applied in a lush, impasto style and condensed into a vibrant unity.

The background opens up an atmospheric depth. In the lower area, it is kept in darker nuances that lend the butterfly a calm, supporting stage. At the same time, a bright accent in the centre of the lower end of the picture breaks through this density, like a small window of light. Towards the top, the entire scene becomes increasingly brighter until it flows into a radiant centre above the butterfly's head and delicate antennae, which acts like an inner sunlight and illuminates the pictorial space.

The work thus appears as a symbol of transformation and new beginnings: the butterfly, already a symbol of metamorphosis, is transformed here into a colourful glow that seems to hover between earthy depth and light expanse. It becomes visible not only as a natural creature, but also as a symbol of vitality, hope and inner strength.
