This impressive collage plays with surreal and psychological motifs to explore the fragile border between fantasy and reality. At the centre are two sculptural heads: the front one - a male torso with a fixed gaze and hollow, full of holes like a cheese under a hat - symbolises emptiness, perhaps also ignorance or overconfidence. The rear head - female, delicate and almost doll-like - is surrounded by a cloud of butterflies, which could represent thoughts, dreams or inner turmoil.
The background of the painting is an expressive explosion of colours, textures and splashes of paint, evoking associations with graffiti, the subconscious and creative impulses. The use of photography, combined with painterly and digital elements, creates a tense atmosphere that oscillates between beauty and disturbance.
The work subtly poses the question: What is hidden behind the façade? Who really has "butterflies in their head" - and who is just "cheese"?
Interpretation:
A critical commentary on superficiality, on the mental state of our time or perhaps also on interpersonal relationships in which the obvious is overlooked.
