About "Buell meet at Schalkhaar"

About the artwork

If you say you are going to a motorbike meet, people who have nothing to do with motorbikes can sometimes react with surprise. At such a meeting, things must get rough, many people think. Of course, it doesn't have to be that way at all. At the Buell club's motorbike meeting, for example, things are peaceful. No fights, no drunken participants and certainly no Hells Angels. The Buell meeting is a meeting about the Buell. The Buell's engine comes straight from Harley Davidson's factories. It is therefore a motorbike conceived by a former Harley Davidson employee. Erik Buell thought the standard Harley Davidson motorbikes were not sporty enough and came up with his own motorbike. 2009 was the year the brand ceased to exist but in 2011, Erik Buell let it be known that he would continue anyway. At the meet, it is a convivial affair. Motorcyclists enjoying their somewhat rare motorbike and sharing their great love over a cup of coffee or a glass of refreshing beer.
