About ‘Roman temple of Evora’ by Jan Radstake

The temple built by the Romans was built in honour of the Roman emperor Augustus. The temple is also known as the temple Diana. Diana was regarded by the Romans as the goddess of the hunt, the moon and chastity. The temple is part of the centre of the city of Evora. The temple was built in the first century AD. The temple was destroyed in the fifth century by the Germanic tribes who invaded the city. The temple had several functions. For instance, from the 14th century until 1836, the structure was used as a butcher's shop. The temple was restored after 1871.

Born in 1958 and for years engaged in photography. The first real Minolta SLR that I had in my possession , I already made a lot of pictures . Photographing was and is my passion , it is the art of capturing that special moment. The art of photographing the light in that particular room or hall. It is the search of the places where you can make special pictures. Spotting the bird bug, that's what makes shooting so special.
