This work shows an abstract, digitally created structure reminiscent of a floating glass bead. At the centre is a luminous, spherical shape surrounded by concentric patterns of fine dots and lines. The colour scheme ranges between cool shades of blue and green, interspersed with golden yellow accents that lend the picture a calm, almost floating effect. The black background emphasises the luminosity of the central form and makes it appear like an object in space.
The inspiration for this picture came from observing the refraction of light in glass and the aesthetics of micro-worlds. I am interested in how digital means can be used to create the illusion of transparency, depth and materiality - without depicting a concrete object.
I wanted to create an atmosphere that appears still and concentrated. The picture invites contemplative contemplation and conveys a feeling of clarity, balance and inner peace. It symbolises beauty in miniature and the power of reduction.
In interior design, this work is particularly effective in minimalist or modern rooms. It brings a subtle elegance with it and acts as a calm but striking eye-catcher - a visual object that does not impose itself but has a long-lasting effect.
